“EXCELLENT ROOMS, EXCELLENT STAFF, EXCELLENT LOCATION!!!”

The Attalos Hotel was the best hotel I stayed in while in Athens. The most amazing thing about this hotel is the location. It is literally 3 mins from the Plaka, meaning its 10 mins from the Acropolis and all the important attractions in Athens. I walked everywhere and never had to take the metro because it was so conveniently located. Don't let the 2 star rating fool you...the stars mean NOTHING in Athens. This hotel was better than the 4 star I stayed in. The staff members were so helpful!! They answered a billion questions for me. Also, the hotel has a free computer lab with free internet and printers and it has a rooftop bar which has the most incredible view of the Acropolis. The rooms were really spacious and very, very clean. This hotel is perfect!!!

“Nice hotel, fantastic location”
I agree with TripAdvisor reviews that this hotel is clean and well-run. Our room was large, had a great balcony, and everything worked. The management was extremely helpful and professional. The bathrooms are a bit cramped, but not bad. The rooftop bar is awesome. The location is ideal -- very easy walking distance to everything.

+ This was our second stay at the Attalos. We were there last year and will return on all future trips to Athens. Easy access to all tourist sites, a most helpful staff, comfortable rooms (some with views of the Acropolis), a great roof garden bar/lounge, 2 blocks from the Metro, and walkable to the Acropolis, Parliament, the National Museum, etc. All of this at a price that is affordable. This is the best value for what you pay that we have found in Athens. Oh, forgot the breakfast. For an additional 8 E, it is a great value over eating elsewhere. Lots of choices on the buffet and open till 11am. Internet cafe has been remodeled very nicely too. Very very clean and nice size bathrooms. Definitely will return next year and highly recommend.

We (me, my wife and kids 7 and 4 years old) stayed in Athens only for one night after our holiday. Some locals (taxi drivers) say what the area is not safe, but I believe it is fine. You are in the old town of very big city, and like always some caution is needed, but I believe the area is OK. The fact what everywhere is so close is great, and view on Acropolis from roof cafe is superb.

I shouldn't tell people how good this hotel is because they'll just raise the rates. The location is as good as you can get, the breakfast is first class, the vieew from the rooftop garden is as adertised, and the rooms are a bargain for the price.

The six-story Attalos is well situated for visitors wanting to take in the frenzied daytime street life of the nearby Central Market and the Psirri district's exuberant nighttime scene at the cafes and restaurants. Forty of the plain yet pleasant rooms have balconies and 12 have Acropolis views. The roof garden also offers fine views of the city and the Acropolis. The Attalos staff is very helpful.
